Brett Moffitt won the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) championship by scoring his sixth victory of the season on Friday night at Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS). Moffitt left no doubt about his ability and that of his No. 16 AISIN Group team with a dominant performance in the season finale. The 26-year old from Grimes, Iowa led three times for a race high 59 laps en-route to becoming the 17th different champion in the 24-year history of the NCWTS.

A year’s worth of effort comes down to Friday night at Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) championship. Brett Moffitt’s five wins, including last week’s triumph at ISM Raceway, have carried him to his first appearance in the Championship Four. The driver of the No. 16 iRacing Toyota began his week by competing on iRacing to prepare for his Eldora Dirt Derby debut, and the training was rewarded with his seventh top-five finish of the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series campaign.

Brett Moffitt has a flair for the dramatic, and his third victory of 2018 at Chicagoland Speedway was a perfect example. After picking up sponsorship from Fr8Auctions and Northland Foundations Inc. midweek, Moffitt took the No. 16 HRE team to victory lane with a last-lap pass for the lead to secure his fourth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) victory. Moffitt's triumph in Friday night's Overton's 225 is the third for HRE and the team's second win in the last three races.

HAMPTON, Ga. – Brett Moffit streaked into the lead on an overtime restart in Saturday’s Active Pest Control 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway and pulled away to win the second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race of his career. Diving to the inside and taking then-leader Myatt Snider and Johnny Sauter three-wide into the first corner on Lap 133 of 134, Moffitt beat Noah Gragson to the finish line by 1.326 seconds. Gragson charged from ninth to second on the penultimate lap and beat third-place finisher Johnny Sauter to the line by .014 seconds.
