Hey guys, I hope all is well. It has been a while since I last wrote one of these, but it’s been pretty quiet here. I’ve been taking the last few weeks off to relax and have some fun with friends back here in Iowa, because I didn’t have a lot of time this summer. It has been nice to have no pressure and do some normal 18 year-old things!

Fall is already back in Iowa, and it’s actually been getting pretty cold here at night. Since the end of racing season, my schedule has been quieter, so I’ve decided to take up a new hobby – hunting. I’ve been goose hunting a lot at my neighbor’s property and have had some luck, but am still trying to get the hang of everything. I am also toying around with the idea of getting a bow and trying my luck at deer hunting on my family’s property. We will have to wait and see on that one.

Hey everyone, how’s it going? Well, I had a great weekend and week. JGR called to ask me to go to the shop on Monday to take team photos with the entire group of JGR employees and drivers. Obviously, there was no way I could turn it down, so I decided last Friday to go to Kansas Speedway with my neighbor (it’s only about 3 hours from my house) and then fly back to Huntersville, NC, on the JGR plane after the Nationwide race. I was able to hang out on pit road with the #18 crew during the race and try to learn some things from them. It was really cool flying back on the private plane, too. It was my second time doing it, and it’s always a lot of fun.

Hey everyone, what’s going on? Sorry I haven’t written in a little while. The week between Loudon and Dover is so crazy. We got home Sunday from Loudon and then turned around Wednesday before the crack of dawn to head to Dover, but I could definitely get used to the lifestyle, so don’t get me wrong.

Grimes, Iowa (September 11, 2010) – After nearly a six week hiatus, Brett Moffitt, Joe Gibbs Racing development driver, returned to his racing roots and competed in the 2010 IMCA Super Nationals in his family-owned dirt car. Moffitt, who had previously continued to compete in select dirt car events after turning to the asphalt circuits, was unable to get much seat time in his dirt car this summer, due to commitments in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I’m just hanging out this week, waiting to head to Loudon for the next NASCAR race. The IMCA Super Nationals last week in Boone, IA, went really well. I still enjoy racing dirt cars whenever I can.
