A Minute with Brett Moffitt - Sept. 02

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I hope you all had a good weekend. We raced in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at Gresham Motorsports Park on Saturday night in Georgia. We had a very good top-five run going, until we got involved in another racer’s wreck. It was really disappointing, because we’ve lost a few great runs this year due to circumstances we could not control. South Boston, Phoenix, and Iowa], but the bright side is that we have been strong at all tracks. I am very excited that the final two races are taking place at Cup tracks and with such a large focus on the series.
This week has been pretty normal for me. I’m getting back into my routine being home, and I’ve been trying to work out once a day and improve my stamina. Depending on the day, I run, cycle, or do some kick-boxing. I’ve been playing iRacing a lot every night and also spent a significant amount of time in the shop fixing my dirt car and getting it ready to race.
I am excited for this weekend. On Friday night we hope to race at Marshalltown, IA, and get the car all set up. Monday is the start of one of the biggest dirt car races of the year – IMCA Super Nationals. There will be somewhere around 200 cars fighting to make the 33 car field for the main SportMod event alone, so just making the field would be a huge accomplishment. Hopefully, if you are close to Boone, IA, you can come and check it out. It should be really exciting with so many cars there. That’s pretty much how this week turned out. Until next time, see everyone later.Brett
